Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like you're carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders? Perhaps you're just not feeling quite like yourself lately, and you can't put your finger on why. Whatever brought you here today, I want you to know that you're not alone, and there's hope.
I’m Angela, a BACP registered counsellor with over a decade of experience, and I offer a safe space for adults, children, young people, and couples to talk. I also provide clinical supervision for counsellors, students and other healthcare professionals. My integrative approach means we'll work together to find the best path for you. I can help with a wide range of issues, including neurodiversity, anxiety, depression, bereavement and loss. Whether you're in Worthing or prefer online sessions, I'm here to support you on your journey to well-being.
Hi, I'm Angela Watt. For over ten years, I've been privileged to work as a counsellor, and my own life experiences made me realise the beneficial effects that counselling can have.
My interest in counselling began in the National Lottery's big winner's department, where I developed crucial listening skills helping winners navigate sudden life changes. This experience sparked my passion for supporting people through challenging times.
I then trained as a counsellor and worked in schools supporting young carers. Through my own lived experiences, I've gained a deep understanding of neurodiversity and its impact on families.
I use an integrative approach, tailoring techniques to each individual's unique story. Compassion, understanding, and trust are at the heart of my practice. I'm a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am committed to ongoing professional development.
My experience extends to supervision, supporting counsellors, student counsellors, key workers, and businesses. I also work as a Supervisor for St Barnabas Hospice, and a number of services supporting victims of domestic abuse, including Safe in Sussex.
Outside of counselling, I advocate for better support for carers and individuals with disabilities, promoting an understanding of neurodiversity and mental health in our community.
I believe in your capacity for growth and healing, and I'm here to support you on that journey.
Sometimes, life can feel overwhelming. In our sessions, we'll work together to unpack what's troubling you and find ways to move forward. Whether you're faced with anxiety, depression, work-related stress, or feeling stuck, I'm here to listen without judgement. We'll explore your feelings and experiences in a warm, supportive environment, helping you gain insights and develop strategies to improve your well-being.
Being young isn't always easy and struggling with worries, sadness, or confusion, I'm here to help. We can use talking, games, or creative activities - whatever feels most comfortable for you. Together, we'll set goals and regularly check how you're progressing. We can work around your school schedule to ensure you get the support you need in a way that fits around you.
All relationships face challenges. If you and your partner are finding it hard to communicate or work through issues, I can help. In our sessions, we'll explore your concerns in a balanced, respectful way. I'll guide you both in improving your communication, understanding each other better, and finding new ways to connect. Together, we can work towards rebuilding trust and strengthening your relationship.
As a qualified Supervisor, I support Counsellors, student counsellors, Key Workers, and businesses in their professional development. Our sessions provide a space for reflection, learning, and growth. Whether you're seeking one-to-one or group supervision, I can help you enhance your practice, navigate challenges, and maintain your well-being as a helping professional.
Are you ready to take your career or business to the next level? Whether you're a professional looking to advance your career, an entrepreneur starting your own venture, or a parent balancing work and family life, I offer coaching programs tailored to your unique goals. My approach provides practical tools, strategies, and support to help you navigate your professional journey with confidence and resilience. Together, we'll focus on your aspirations and wellbeing, empowering you to overcome challenges and seize opportunities, enabling you to thrive in both your professional and personal life.
